As founder of Prevail Water, Mr. Jones has been involved in all phases of the water industry for more than 35 years — bottling, distribution, marketing, and sales. He was the first African-American to own and operate a commercial bottling plant. In 2007, Mr. Jones began working with AT&T to develop technology to streamline delivery. He is the recipient of the 2010 Technical Innovator Award presented by the U. S. Congressional Black Caucus.
Ms. Bone has over 25 years of experience creating business, marketing, and customer retention strategies for high-growth companies. Ms. Bone has spent much of her career in market-dominant technology and consumer product companies, where she developed expertise in leveraging research, advertising, promotions, and public relations to identify and reach specific customer groups.
Chris Jones is an internationally recognized blockchain expert and technology veteran. He launched several successful startups and has helped shape others. After graduating from Georgetown University with degrees in marketing and management, Mr. Jones received his M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management in 2002 and has been inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at PDS and Georgetown.
Mr. Sorsby has over 25 years of experience managing the acquisition, logistics, storage, inventory, and distribution of parts and equipment. He has operated businesses specializing in logistics, acquisition, and retail sales. Mr. Sorsby is a decorated, retired, disabled United States Navy veteran cum laude graduate of Saint Leo University (St. Leo, FL). He received medals from the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Marine Corps.
Entrepreneurial executive, John Primm, has been marketing national and international brands for more than two decades. Prevail harnesses the experienced leadership that John has gleaned through a career of working with brands like Coors and Frito-Lay and through fostering relationships with buyers and merchants like Kroger, Publix, Meijer, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and many more. He is an alumnus of Eastern Kentucky University.
Mr. Hardy is a Wharton School pioneer and is the first African-American and youngest Fellow at the Wharton School’s Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management & International Studies MBA/MA dual degree program. Muhammed Ali selected Mr. Hardy as his official Chinese translator and interpreter for his 1985 goodwill trip to China. Mr. Hardy is an expert in logistics and warehousing, having managed the massive distribution of PPE during the COVID-19 pandemic in multiple U. S. cities.
Mr. Orentas has over 30 years of experience in financial and operational leadership, guiding companies through strategic decision-making and sustainable growth. With expertise in program management, finance, and accounting, he is adept at navigating complex regulatory environments and optimizing capital structures to bring profitability to organizations. He has successfully led fundraising efforts that secured over $40 million in capital funding and planned and managed all operations associated with a multi-state production company.
Dr. Glen Laman was born in rural Jamaica and worked briefly for Reynolds Jamaica Mines. Dr. Laman attended Pace University and Brenau University for undergrad and master’s degrees. He has had an extensive career in corporate America as an Information Technology and Business Project Manager, working at major corporations such as the Coca-Cola Company, JC Penney, and AT&T. He graduated from the University of Management and Technology (UMT) with a Business Administration (DBA) doctorate. Dr. Laman has received several awards for community service, including one from the National Association of Jamaican Associations and Supporting Organizations and the Jamaica 50th Independence Awards in Atlanta.
